Train as a military intelligence operator for the modern battlespace
Reserve units are expected to integrate at a moment's notice, yet too many deploy without a confident grasp of core MI skills. The MIOC fills that gap — building practical, mission-ready operators who can collect, assess, and brief with confidence when it counts.

The Problem
Reserve units are expected to integrate. Most can't.
Reserve units are expected to integrate at a moment's notice, yet too many deploy without a confident grasp of core MI skills. The training gap is real — and it costs time, credibility, and operational effectiveness.
Demand is broader than the reserves. Practitioners across disciplines want to go deeper on live and emerging conflicts. MI gives the foundation for analytical success: clear tasking, disciplined collection, structured assessment, and confident delivery.
The MIOC gives operators the fundamentals and the repetitions they need to slot in, add value fast, and lift the team.
Multi-domain threats
Adversaries operating simultaneously across land, cyber, space, and the information environment
Hybrid warfare
Blurring lines between conventional operations, irregular forces, and grey-zone activities
Tempo demands
Decision cycles compressing from days to hours. Intelligence must match operational speed.
Who This Is For
Built for operators, not academics
Military personnel
Serving regulars and reservists who need to collect, assess, and brief with confidence on integration
Conflict trackers & practitioners
Go deeper on live and emerging conflicts with the disciplined MI foundation for analytical success
Analysts seeking continuation development
Structured training to sharpen your tradecraft — suitable from motivated beginners to working practitioners

Your Instructor
Cole Proebstel — Director, ALCON Intelligence
ALCON Intelligence is led by Cole Proebstel, a New Zealand Army veteran with years of experience across military and civilian intelligence roles. Cole and the team specialise in practical, scenario-based training that lifts unit capability.
Cole has supported conventional forces, contemporary operations, and special operations across real missions and training environments. That experience shapes how ALCON teaches, plans, and prepares operators to integrate under pressure.
He built the Intelligence Analyst Certification Course (IACC) — now one of only a handful of IAFIE-certified courses in the world, with 200+ graduates across 25+ countries. The MIOC brings that same standard to the military intelligence operator.
From the creators of the IACC
A proven track record in intelligence training
The MIOC is built by the same team behind the IACC — the highest-rated intelligence certification course available.
"The scenario exercises were the closest thing to real intelligence work I've experienced outside of an actual agency. Cole clearly knows this craft inside and out — you can tell the course was designed by someone who's done the job."
Lock in $399 before the price goes up
Founding member pricing won't last. When the MIOC launches at full price, this rate disappears permanently.

Frequently asked questions
Founding members join the MIOC at a heavily discounted pre-sale price ($399 vs $1,399+ at full launch). You receive modules as they're built, provide feedback that directly shapes the course, and upon completion you receive the same certification and lifetime access as full-price students. This is exactly how we built the IACC — our founding members still have full access today.
You'll start receiving modules as they're completed and released throughout 2026. This is a "learn as we build" model — you're not waiting for the entire course to be finished. You'll be notified each time new content drops and can work through it at your own pace.
Yes. The $399 founding member price is a concept validation offer. When the MIOC launches at general availability, the price will be $1,399 or higher — consistent with the IACC. Founding members lock in $399 permanently with no future charges, ever.
The IACC focuses on all-source intelligence analysis across all sectors. The MIOC is specifically designed for military intelligence operators — covering conventional and unconventional IPOE/IPB, collection planning, symbology, analysis, and producing BLUF-led assessments and briefs. Think of the IACC as analyst training and the MIOC as operator training. They're complementary.
No prior MI experience is required. The course is suitable for motivated beginners through to working practitioners who want structure. You'll need professional writing basics and comfort with maps — we provide primers on core knowledge. The audience includes military personnel, conflict trackers, and analysts seeking continuation development.
POET (Persistent Operating Environment Trainer) is our live exercise platform — real-time intelligence injects, multi-INT collection, and NATO source grading in a simulated intelligence cell. OpenSATs is a toolkit of 10 structured analytical techniques including ACH, Link Analysis, Timeline Analysis, and Threat Matrix. Both are included with the MIOC and power the course exercises.
Even better. The IACC gives you the analytical foundation; the MIOC builds your military operator skills on top. The courses are designed to be complementary. IACC graduates will find the MIOC extends their capability into military-specific operations, products, and environments.
